In memory
Rhapsy
Pedigree name: Rhapsody Jasta
(04/14/2004-04/10/2014)
Standard Schnauzer, Black
After we said goodbye to Ota, although grieving the loss, we knew we wanted a new best companion immediately. We also knew it would be a Schnauzer, but not a replacement for Ota.
We were looking for a Black Standard Schnauzer. And when meeting Rhapsy of Kennel Jasta, it was a love at first sight. Rhapsy was the sweetest, calmest, nicest puppy in the litter. When everyone else was playing, she wanted to be with me. And I wanted her.
But first impression (and looks) can be deceiving. She had a real Schnauzer temperament, her own will, and was often the boss of our family.
Rhapsy was very smart and eager to learn (we passed B-BH). But often on her terms.
She was caring and loyal, but also an adventurous explorer, focused totally on her prey (still the only animal she caught was a mouse) or whatever she was after when going her way (which was often, to be honest).
Rhapsy was our companion on all the trips, hikes, runs, walks, active until the end. Which came too early – she died of lymph cancer just a few days before her 10th birthday.
